This five-day residential course aims to promote appropriate and effective humanitarian civil-military interactions in humanitarian emergencies through bolstered knowledge and understanding of UN-CMCoord standards and principles and adherence to them.
At the core of the Preparedness and Response Effectiveness Programme (PREP) training course will be OCHA Surge, UNDAC, INSARAG and UN-CMCoord. The course will focus on the interoperability of these mechanisms along the humanitarian programme cycle, focussing on coordination and information management as key enablers.
The United Nations Humanitarian Civil-Military Coordination (UN-CMCoord) eCourse is an online learning experience that brings together practitioners and experts to discuss UN-CMCoord concepts and principles and their practical applications in responding to natural disasters and complex emergency settings.
The UN-CMCoord Skills Training aims to train those currently or potentially engaged in UN-CMCoord operations to contribute to the effectiveness of international emergency relief operations by promoting appropriate and effective humanitarian-military relationships.
